The Challenge

Tasca had been a Brighton favorite for years when new owners took it over, and the restaurant needed a brand, a website and an online presence that matched the food. The website had two jobs: it had to work for a diner holding a phone at the table, and it had to show up in search. The social profiles needed to look like the dining room, and the advertising needed to fill seats.

About Tasca Restaurant

Tasca is a high-end Spanish tapas bar on Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton, Boston. Denis started working with Tasca in 2019, before he founded DCM, and led a complete rebrand through 2022.

HOW WE DID IT

We rebuilt the brand from the ground up and made sure every piece carried it. The website was designed for two moments: a diner checking the menu at the table, and someone in Boston searching for tapas. We shot the food photography, rebranded the social profiles, and ran Google and Meta campaigns aimed at booked tables.

Web Design

A diner at the table needed the menu fast, and a diner across the city needed to find Tasca in search. We built the site for both, with pages written for the searches Boston diners make.

Social Media Management

We rebranded the social profiles on the new brand. For a high-end restaurant, the social feed is a window into the dining room. Ours showed the food at its best.

Branding & Identity

Tasca is a high-end restaurant. The brand had to say that before a word was read. We rebuilt it from the ground up and carried it across the website, the profiles, and the campaigns.

Content Production

We shot the food photography for Tasca. Spanish tapas are visual food, so the photos had to sell the dishes on the website, the social profiles and the ads. They did more than that, since Tasca was featured in Boston Magazine and The Boston Globe, both times with photos we took.

The Results

Over the years we ran Tasca's brand, from 2019 to 2022, monthly revenue grew from about $40,000 to $80,000 to $100,000, with the best months near $120,000, and that put the restaurant at $800,000 to $1 million a year. Tasca's team won the OpenTable Diners' Choice award in 2020, and our photos ran in Boston Magazine and The Boston Globe. When every piece carries the same brand, customers feel the quality before they taste the food.

Monthly revenue nearly tripled, and Tasca won OpenTable Diners' Choice in 2020.

Online Advertising

We ran Google and Meta campaigns aimed at one thing: diners. The campaigns, the site, and the photography worked as one system to turn searches and scrolls into booked tables.
